Fairmont Firebird Relays Entries and Info…
Here are the entries for the Fairmont Relays this Friday, January 6th. All those girls ALREADY entered into either the Larry Lyons Invite or the St. X/Ursuline Meet will not be competing at the Fairmont Relays. All those boys ALREADY entered into the Larry Lyons Invite will not be competing at the relay meet either. We are asking all swimmers to arrive at Centerville HS around 3:45pm so that we can depart on time. Please let the coaching staff know if you are not entered into the meet and we will make the appropriate changes.
St. X/Ursuline Entries and Info…
Here are the entries for the St. X/Ursuline meet on Wednesday, January 4th. Please make sure all athletes entered into the meet arrive at Centerville High School no later than 4:00pm to board the bus to the meet. Let us know if there are any questions.
Larry Lyons Invite Entries and Info…
Here are the entries for the Larry Lyons Invite on Saturday January 7th…please make sure everyone is at Centerville High School by 10:00am so that we can leave and be on our way to Sycamore High School for warm-ups. Let us know if you have any questions.

This is just a reminder that we will be leaving Centerville High School at 3:00pm on Thursday December, 22nd for the Miamisburg Invitational at Wright State University. The entries for the meet are listed below…all non Big 8 athletes will be competing in the meet. Let us know if you have any questions…Go Elks!!

Swimmers qualifying for Districts need to be at the High School at 2:45pm on Friday (boys) and Saturday (girls)
Warm Ups start at 4:15pm at Miami. Meet starts at 5:45pm

A summary of the Sectional Meet from Coach Matson:
The Centerville High School women and men swim and dive team won their 14th consecutive South West Ohio District Centerville Sectional Meet this weekend at the Washington Township Recreational Center.
On Saturday, February 12th, the Lady Elk's scored 602 points at the Sectional Meet, the second highest points scored by the Lady Elks in the last 10 years at this meet, which was 324 points over 2nd place Miamisburg High School.
The Lady Elk's were automatic qualifiers, placing first or second in this Sectional meet, for Saturday's February 19th District meet at Miami of Ohio in 10 of the 12 events. Of the 23 Lady Elks entered, 13 qualified for the District Meet and 6 women qualified in both of their individual events.
The following Lady Elks qualified in the top 8 at this weeks District Meet:
Morgan Mullins Qualified 2nd in Diving, Marisa Pulaski 4th in the 200 yard Individual Medley and 5th in the 100 yard breaststroke, Jessie Schieman 7th in the 50 yard freestyle, Olivia Lehman 8th in Diving and Taylor Myszka 8th in the 500 yard freestyle.
On Friday, February 11th, the Centerville men's team scored 587 points at the Sectional Meet which was 261 points over 2nd place Beavercreek.
The Centerville men were first place in 10 of the 12 events at this Sectional meet to automatically qualify for Friday's February 18th District meet at Miami of Ohio. Of the 22 men entered, 18 qualified for the District Meet and 10 men qualified in both of their individual events.
The following men qualified top 8 for this weeks District Meet: Josh Brooks qualified 1st in the 500 yard freestyle and 2nd in the 200 yard Individual Medley, Ryan Slavik 2nd in Diving, Brian Clark 5th in the 50 yard freestyle and 8th in the 100 yard freestyle, Alex Osterhage 7th in the 500 yard freestyle and 8th in the 200 yard freestyle; Jake Carlsen 7th in the 200 yard freestyle and 8th in the 500 yard freestyle; Jay Hickey 5th in the 200 yard Individual Medley and Sam Mitchell 7th in the 100 yard backstroke.
Senior Night Meet for Swimmers and Divers
The Senior Swimmer and Diver Meet is being held on Friday 1/21/2011, and we will be competing against St. Charles and Waterson.
Prior to the meet, the seniors and their parents will be introduced.
Warmups are at 6PM,
The senior recognition will start at 6:50PM.
Upcoming Meet Info
The swim team will be swimming in three different meets this week. Please check the entries below to see where you or your athlete will be competing. Some of the boys will be swimming mulitple meets, so please check closely! The Lyons meet is a varsity meet limited to 2 entries per event. The dual meet will be swimmers not competing in Lyons meet but still limited to 4 entries per event. The relay meet will be for everyone else not swimming the Lyons meet or the dual meet. Be sure to be at the high school at least 5-10 mintues BEFORE the scheduled time for departure. If you have any questions, contact Coach Eric.
